Cradle: A crowd of flowers growing on one side all the way to the other, like a cradle.

Crown: A ring of flowers growing around the head like a crown.

Cluster: A large clump of flower clusters growing on one area of the head.

Single: Only a single flower grows on the head, can be placed anywhere on it.

Sertyr traits : Welcome

Horns: Horns of this species are ram-like. Clear and shining like glass but made of very tough material. Each horn contains either the poison or it’s antidote. All horns have holes on the tip which is covered by a cap to prevent spillage. Can come in many designs.

  • Medium: Standard size of the horns and placed on the sides of the head.

  • Large: The largest size the horns can be and grows on the side of the head as well. Usually, due to it’s size, the ends of the horns starts diverging from the traditional rolled up shape.

  • Small: The smallest size and very tiny compared to the medium horns. Grows on the side of the head as well but isn’t restricted to the ram/rolled up shape.

  • Multiple/Diff. Placement(either or both): in very rare cases, some may have multiple horns growing. These horns can also grow on other places of the head and are not restricted to the sides. Can be any type of horns, doesn’t have to look ram-like

Sertyr as a species, can mate with other races, due to this, genes from the other race’s parent’s can be inherited by the child. Commonly, only ears are transferred over but in rarer cases, more genes can be inherited by the child(hints to collabs with other species in the future)

Tail: The tail is long and covered in scales with striking colourful patterns. The tail has hair growth and the same flowers found growing on the head grows on the tufts of hair on the tail

  • Standard: Long thick tail with hair growth on the tip. Flowers grow on the base of the hair growth and slowly scatter on the end.

  • Curtain: Still long and thick,  but the hair grows at the base of the tail. Hair is voluminous and falls in a graceful curtain. A cluster of flowers grows on the base of the tail but scattered growth is seen spread all over.

  • Lion: Long like the standard tail but is thinner and whip-like. Has hair growth on the tips similar to a lion’s tail. Flower growth is similar to standard.

  • Serpentine: Tail is a literal live snake. Can be based on a real existing/extinct snake or a completely made up one. Each snake tail has the same flower growth found on the head. It first forms in clusters on the head of the snake and slowly scatters down on it’s back, the belly/underside of the snake remains bare. If the snake is venomous, the poison they spit out is the same poison developed by the main body but is much more potent. If it's non-venomous, the snake only spits out the antidote but it’s so potent that those who use the antidote from the snake commonly overdoses. Snake tails have their own personality types and will act on their own accord. Length can vary but they’re about the same size as their real life counterparts.

OTHER TRAITS

  • Gold Irises: the irises are main of gold instead of the usual black, can be in any shape/style

  • Multi-Eyes: Limit are 8 eyes, can be on any part of the body. Other than the 2 main eyes, the extra eyes must have black sclera and have the golden irises trait.

  • Beads or vines: in rare cases, the flower growth on a sertyr’s body would be connected together by either beads(any style), chains, vines or anything that can connect the flowers together(please ask first before making anything unique for approval)

  • Only Poison, Only Antidote: Even among Sertyrs, those who have this trait are even treated as folk stories amongst them. So called strongest poison, So called antidote for all, very rare and seldom interacts with other creatures and prefers to live in isolation so as to avoid being hunted by those greedy enough to use the legendary concoction their body produces for the thief’s own benefit or profit. If a sertyr with only poison is born, a counterpart who only has antidote would also be born at the same time no matter how far. A meeting between the two rarely takes place but when it does occur, either they’re fated to kill one another or become lifetime mates(romantically or platonically)

There exists a species of intelligent parasite that specifically targets sertyrs with the goal of controlling the body. The host and parasite will fight for control, whoever succeeds will be up to fate. If a parasite wins control over the body, they will completely and utterly take over the host’s life but over time, their personality will change and they’ll go out of their way to ruin the host’s former life. If the host instead wins control, they won’t be able to heal the damage already dealt by the parasite on their body but they’ve won in the end and only scars will remain. In rarer cases, the host and parasite will reach to an agreement and share bodies. It can be for any reason, some even involve magical contracts or it’s done forcefully. Only one parasite can reside in a body.

MORE ABOUT PARASITES

  • There’s multiple stages of growth once infected. The first symptom is hearing voices in your head, like hearing your voice talking to you(like the angel devil thing, suggestions-idk) But this is very subtle so the host rarely detects it.

  • Second symptom is that hairline cracks will start appearing on the host’s skin, similar to porcelain hairline cracks, over time those cracks will spread and pieces of the host’s body will start falling off like porcelain. By this time, it would be too late, the parasite has fully grown. Though it doesn’t mean the fight is over, it is only over once the parasite reaches control of the brain and buries the host’s consciousness.

  • Parasites come in many types, some look like what one would imagine a parasite infection would look like but there are those that look aesthetically pleasing. What is very obvious however is that these parasites are very much alive and often have hints of life in them. When dying, the parasite will start blooming to spread their spores to infect other sertyrs. Ironically, these blooms are the same flowers growing on the host’s body.

  • When a parasite dies due to the outcome of battle(with the host body obviously winning) The current appearance of the parasite will remain the same but will become inactive. The parasites comes with abilities that you would expect from it’s appearance(a plant looking parasite with nature flowers...a fleshy parasite having blood/sacrificial magic or an ethereal looking parasite ironically having healing/holy powers). These can be beneficial to the host if they take back control or have a contract with the parasite.

  • Parasites are hard to remove alone, a fellow Sertyr must help the infected Sertyr by finding the main body of the parasite and removing it. However this has a high risk of also infecting the good samaritan. If the host wants a higher success rate, they can find a healer Sertyr who is an expert in dealing with parasites, oftentimes, these Healers have a contract with a parasite or have been formerly infected but won the battle.

MORE

  • Glass flower trait: can apply to all flower rarity types and can be any type of glass art(see example). Made of material similar to glass but like the horns but is tough.

  • Crystallized poison/antidote growth: has high melting point and will eventually grow back(though slowly) when chipped off or melted(VERY DANGEROUS AS IT HAS A HIGH MELTING POINT). Can grow on any parts of the body(see example)

  • Clear bones trait: An addition to the other tail traits and comes in two types, thick and lion tail. Similar to the horns, it is also hollow and each section of the “glass bones” contains either poison or antidote. The sharp ends of the “bones” have tiny holes so if you get scratched, you’ll be poisoned..or nothing if it’s the antidote part that pricked you. Hair growth on the tip of the tail(see sample) along with flowers, it also has flower growth on the base of the tails.

Chimera: Upper torso is normal and what you’d expect from a Sertyr but from waist down is a different body. Either a deer, horse or a snake’s body. Hybrids are more animalistic and wild than the normal Sertyrs. Due to having a closer affinity to their animal sides, they tend to allow their instincts to take control in heated moments. Are commonly seen at areas where plagues starts, rumoured to be the cause/source(though remember it’s just a rumour and has no factual truth). This trait is not due to mating with other races, it is due to a genetic abnormality which is thought to have originated during the ancient times when Sertyr’s were more animal-like.

  • Deer: Delicate and graceful bodies, from waist down is a deer’s body. Covered in a smooth fur coat and transitions to scales on the legs. Tufts of hair grows on the back of the legs, long and wild, has flower growth on it as well.

  • Horse: Strong and definition of wild beauty, similar to the deer-scales grows on their legs with tufts of hair growing on the back along with flowers.

  • Snake: From waist down is the long and lithe body of a snake, covered in delicate looking scales but it is in fact very tough and comparable to dragon scales. Tufts of hair grows on the back of the long body, can start from anywhere but as the hair reaches the tips, it transitions to longer hair. Flower growth on this is scattered over the hair.

New traits have been discovered! See what they are:

  • Black pixie wings: Unlike the original wings made of light, these wings are solid black with golden veins(see ref), can be any shape as long there’s only two wings and it’s not bigger than an arm.

  • Thorny Flowers: The flowers growing on the head and the tail now has thorny vines growing with it. Applies to all existing traits that have flowers in it(head flowers, all tail types, chimeras). These thorns are sharp and poisonous, so be careful not to get pricked! If it isn’t clear, you must already have one of the other flower type traits to use this. This can also apply to glass flowers too! The thorns must also be made of a “glassy” material too.

Black halos: Halos of any design with solid black colours, it is intangible and stays permanently on the head of the sertyr.

  • Small Halo: takes up half of the head and is small enough like a bracelet.

  • Large Halo: A bit larger than the head.

  • Behind Head Halo: The halo is right behind the head, can be any size(largest is from head to waist ratio).

  • Layered Halo: To use this trait, you must already have one of the other 3 halos. For ex: if you have a small halo, you can do a layered version if you have the trait(about 4 layers maximum). With this trait, you can also use multiple halos as long as you have the other halo traits.

  • Red blood poison/antidote: With this trait, BOTH antidote and poison side of the horns(or tail if you have bone trait) is completely red like blood. Though, when in the dark, both substances glow a neon colour(can be just one type of colour or a strange mix). Applies to all horn traits and the crystalized poison/antidote.

  • Crystalized poison/antidote Horns: An expansion upon the original trait of the same name! Now the horns can be completely made of crystalized poison and antidote! If you already have this trait on hand, you are free to update your OC to add this new trait.

  • Bioluminescence: With this trait, the flowers of a sertyr can glow in the dark along with their fur/scales having glowing patterns. Some parts of their bodies can glow too, like their hooves, eyes, hair or skin. Though this is completely optional
